Evangeline Terms and Conditions

These terms govern use of the private Evangeline Parish release-record reference site. By using it, a visitor accepts the limits and duties stated below. Stop using the service if these terms are not acceptable.

Core Disclosure

This privately owned site is not tied to any government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers consumer reports or services governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It helps visitors locate Evangeline Parish and Louisiana record resources, but it is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site is an independent reference. It stores no official jail, court, or corrections records and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or file documents. It points to public agencies and outside research tools that control their own records and services.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the service lawfully and without harming people or the site's operation.

  • Do not violate any law.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use site information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools.
  • Do not interfere with access by other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not supply background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. Visitors agree not to use any displayed or linked information to decide employment, tenancy or housing, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other matter covered by the FCRA.

Outside Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff release records, corrections sites, government portals, legal resources, and outside search tools. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control an outside service's content, accuracy, privacy practices, pricing, data handling, or availability. Visitors should read the destination's own terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The service is offered “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a specific purpose. Partner searches are not guaranteed to be thorough. Custody and public records change, and nothing displayed here is an official statement from EPSO or another agency.

Liability Limits

To the greatest extent Louisiana law permits, the site and its owners, operators, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive harm arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its owners, operators, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Material

Unless stated otherwise, the text, graphics, logo, arrangement, and code belong to Evangeline Parish Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, modified, or exploited without written permission, apart from uses allowed by law.

Changes and Access

These terms may be changed at any time, and a revision takes effect when posted. Access may also be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time and without advance notice when the operator considers it necessary.

Louisiana Law Controls

Louisiana law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction within Louisiana.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable where possible.
